TV Dance Favorite Artem Chigvintsev Joins Burn the Floor

Artem Chigvintsev, the show-stopping finalist on the first season of So You Think You Can Dance, will make his Broadway debut on September 1 when he joins the company of Burn the Floor. The Latin and ballroom dance spectacular continues its run at the Longacre Theatre, directed and choreographed by Jason Gilkison.

Moscow-born Artem has performed and trained all over the world. Passionate about teaching, he is now bringing his expertise to the Ballroom Dance Channel where he teaches International Style Latin dance to a worldwide Web audience. Other TV credits include Dirty Dancing, Eli Stone, Passions and The O.C. His film credits include I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry and the soon-to-be-released Bolden and The Great Observer.

Burn the Floor opened on Broadway on August 2 and recently extended its limited run to January 3, 2010.
